“The Wrong House: the strange tale of Mary Arden’s Farm”
18th October 2017 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Our speaker for October, Simon McGrory, will be known to many for his role with the Garnock Connections project. Previously he worked at a living history project in England based at the farm owned by the family of Mary Arden, the mother of William Shakespeare. This promises to be an entertaining evening as Simon talks about his experiences farming as they would have in the 16th century as well as the remarkable story of how the Shakespeare Trust realised they had the ‘wrong house’.
