From phishing to card fraud – 21st century scams and how to avoid them

With scams and problems such as identity theft becoming an increasing concern, our May talk will focus on awareness of the risks and how to avoid them. Our speaker, Scott McGready, will be familiar to some through featuring on TV programmes such as ‘Secrets of the Scammers’ and ‘Stopping Scotland’s Scammers’ where he has often been described as their ‘ethical hacker’. Scott has worked regularly with the Police and organisations including DCPCU, Trading Standards, and Neighbourhood Watch Scotland.

The talk is free to members of Beith Cultural & Heritage Society, otherwise admission is £2. All are very welcome to attend.
